Be Still My Kick-Started Heart
October 3, 2008
Harmonix has been schizophrenic over the past week: announcing a fantastic selection of tracks for next week’s DLC (see below) while at the same time revealing the meh AC/DC on-disc expansion. Additionally, it’s slipped out from a totally different source that Motley Crue’s Dr. Feelgood album will appear as a DLC on the 14th of October. Welp, there goes my MS points. However I’ll save some cash regarding the AC/DC expansion. Why you may ask?
I like AC/DC, and would love to play more in Rockband, but I want to choose the tracks. Don’t A) make me buy an entire disc of say, 20 tracks, when I only care about half of them; and B) don’t make the expansion exclusive to goddamn Walmart.
Compare and contrast to a fantastic, pick and choose DLC week, from which I will eagerly download the following:
- Pretty Fly - Offspring
- Self Esteem - Offspring
- All Right Now - Free
- Bad to the Bone - George Thorogood
- Nearly Lost You - Screaming Trees
I blame EA/MTV for the AC/DC stupidity. No great loss in the greater scheme of things.
Oh, and I’ve found another gaming podcast worth listening to: The d6 Generation. I came for the Warmachine and stayed for the everything else.
