Blame Niko

The fact that I haven’t posted in a while falls squarely on the shoulders of Niko Bellic. I have been spending most of my geek-time hanging around in Liberty City, following Niko’s descent through the underworld of that New York-esque city. It hasn’t completely taken over my life yet, but its coming a bit close.
The game play is good, and I’ve mostly gotten over my initial driving difficulty. The game itself…just gorgeous - and I’m not one of the lucky ones playing on a High Definition set. The story is engaging, even if the in-game “friends” are a bit too needy for my liking. If you don’t pay them what seems like almost constant attention, they start to get upset with you. They’ll still hang out…but they’ll complain that you never come around. And that’s not including the women Niko romances. But aside from that, the game is pretty awesome.
The Multiplayer is…freaking amazing, and I’ve only really scratched the surface. But its got one thing that a lot of other multiplayer options don’t: its fun right out of the box. Even if you’re getting pwned by 12 year olds, something about the game play is just great fun. I could probably sit and try to figure out what that is…but the day’s almost over, and really…it doesn’t matter all that much. If you haven’t tried it…I highly recommend it.
